چکیده
This study aimed to examine the utility of inertial measurement unit (IMU) technology identify angle, step-specific, and side-specific differences between youth soccer players with without a history lower limb injury during soccer-specific field tests. Thirty-two youths (mean age 16.4 years) who were elite (Females n = 13, Males 19) wore IMUs pre- postseason change-of-direction assessments. A response feature analysis was used compare change in peak resultant acceleration groups at level significance p < 0.05. Statistical revealed significant right leg final foot contact 180° pivot turn (p 0.012, ES 1.0) 90° cut 0.04, 0.75) two groups. These data suggest that might experience greater angle within season when compared injury-free athletes. demonstrates may present useful method analyze players’ direction movement after returning play. results can inform future studies investigating player monitoring prove be tool for coaches designing individualized training programs this population.

Evaluation of the Illinois Change of Direction Test in Youth Elite Soccer Players of Different Age
Change of direction ability is an essential pre-requisite in team sports athletes. The Illinois change of direction test has been routinely used for testing change of direction ability in soccer players. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the Illinois change of direction test in young elite soccer players in terms of its reliability, usefulness and relationship with body size. A total...
متن کاملasymmetry of the modified illinois change of direction test impacts young elite soccer players’ performance
conclusions the modified illinois change of direction test must be considered as an asymmetrical test because it underestimates more than half of the players’ agility performances. therefore, fitness coaches should take these results into account when using this test. results the analysis revealed no significant difference in time performance between the two versions of test as a within-subject...
متن کاملSpecificity of Jumping, Acceleration and Quick Change-of-direction Motor Abilities in Soccer Players
The purpose of this study was to determine the underlying structure of the stretch-shortening cycle (SSC) jumping, acceleration and change-of-direction (COD) abilities in soccer players using principal component factor analysis (PCA). Based on the results of recent studies on male college athletes, we hypothesized that slow SSC jumping, acceleration and COD represent independent motor abilities...

The purpose of the present study was to compare the performance in repeated sprint ability (RSA) and repeated changes-of-direction (RCOD) among elite soccer players with different age categories. Forty-nine elite soccer players from the same club and from different age categories (Pro2: n = 8, U19: n = 18, U17: n = 13, and U15: n = 10) participated in this study. Each player was tested in both ...
